Lawful bases we rely on

Providing services and goods:
Contract - we need your information to provide you with the PerQ digital loyalty card service.
Legitimate interests - we collect device and platform information to ensure your wallet pass functions correctly and updates when your stamp count changes.

Operation of customer accounts:
Contract - maintaining your loyalty account, stamp count and rewards is part of the service you signed up for.
Legitimate interests - we store authentication tokens and security information to verify your wallet pass is genuine and prevent fraudulent use.

Service updates and marketing:
Consent - we only send you SMS marketing messages if you have given us your explicit permission. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you.

Queries, complaints and claims:
Contract - resolving queries and complaints is part of our obligations to you.
Legitimate interests - it is in both your and our interest to properly investigate and resolve any issues with your loyalty account.

3. Where We Get Personal Information From

Directly from you. You provide your name and phone number when signing up for a retailer's loyalty card through the PerQ platform. We do not obtain your personal information from any other source.

4. How Long We Keep Information

We keep your personal information for as long as the retailer whose loyalty card you signed up for remains an active PerQ customer, plus 12 months after that retailer cancels their subscription with us.

If you request deletion of your personal information at any time, we will remove your data within 30 days of receiving your request. Email support@retailgeek.co.uk to make a deletion request.

We may retain certain records for longer where we are legally required to do so.

5. Who We Share Information With

Customer names, phone numbers and loyalty programme data are shared with the retailer whose loyalty card you signed up for, to enable them to manage their loyalty programme and communicate with their customers.

6. Sharing Information Outside the UK

Where necessary, we transfer personal information outside the UK. All transfers comply with UK GDPR and adequate safeguards are in place.
